Brendan Reilly is a distinguished expert in Big Data, AI, Clean Energy, Sustainability, Climate Risk, and Secure Communications. With over 30 years of experience, he currently serves as a Fractional Chief AI & Ethics Officer for AIethics.Expert (an AIworkforce.org Initiative). He also volunteers for a number of global non-profits including serving as the Chairman of the Climate Risk Research Foundation, Head of AI at the Linux Foundation’s OS-Climate, and serving as a Board Member and Advisor to the Sustainable Africa Initiative and the United Nation’s AI For The Planet. Brendan’s career highlights include co-founding and leading multiple successful tech ventures including co-founding and taking public Storage Area Networks Inc. (SANZ), co-founding and launching Defense Mobile and co-creating Riskthinking.AI. He held a Top Secret security clearance for many years leading Big Data, Geospatial mapping and secure communications projects for numerous government agencies. He is currently deeply involved in crafting AI related government legislation, just published a book on AI Ethics (available on Amazon) and in advancing climate-related research with the development of a major Solar Energy Research Facility in partnership with the University of Wyoming.

Brendan, a father of five, epitomizes the values of family and community. Alongside his wife of 34 years Alison, who is a runner, breast cancer survivor, champion rower and has led the construction of four playgrounds, the Reilly family actively contributes to their community, from their front yard skating rink, adoption mentoring, breast cancer survivor support to their oldest son’s military service and their daughters service as a 2nd grade teacher and lacrosse coach, the Reilly’s focus is on having a positive impact on everyone they come in contact with.
