The company transformed consumer data into valuable business intelligence, helping restaurant clients optimize pricing, beverage companies understand consumer trends to improve operational efficiencies and gain competitive advantages, and Wall Street firms buying the data to understand consumer sentiment and brand performance. Clients included Marriott, Hilton Worldwide, Anheuser-Busch, Boston Beer Corp., Constellation Brands, Crown Imports, Diageo, Heineken, Red Bull, Coca-Cola, and over 200 additional brands including every publicly traded restaurant group from Applebee’s, Outback Steakhouse, Buffalo Wild Wings, to Olive Garden and Shake Shack.
Brendan Reilly was hired as a turn-around CEO at GuestMetrics. Under his leadership, the company underwent a significant transformation over 20 months, achieving a 60% reduction in operating expenses and simultaneously increasing top-line revenues. When Brendan took over as CEO the company was losing over $400K every month. Within 20 months the company had increased revenues and was a break-even business. Brendan’s efforts culminated in the successful sale of GuestMetrics’ business operations to strategic buyers in a series of private transactions with IRI in 2017.
