Clean Energy Park - Hyperscale Data Center feasibility study

Brendan along with two partners co-founded 9H Energy and have been working on determining the feasibility of building a hyperscale datacenter business park located on 300-acres of privately-owned land designated as a Federal Opportunity Zone in southeast Wyoming. To power the data centers, 9H Energy is planning on building a 500+MW Utility-Scale Solar Facility on up to 12,000-acres of the 9H Ranch located just outside Laramie Wyoming. With the ability to scale to 1.3 GW. The 9H Ranch is flat plain land strategically located along I-80. The land includes water rights, rail access, an underground natural gas pipeline, two high-capacity transmission lines, and local access to two electric switching facilities. 9H Energy anticipates connecting the data centers to the grid (PV panels, backup gas engines and utility grid). Brendan has co-lead the project and built the business plan and financial models for the project. Additionally Brendan has established a collaboration with Black & Veatch and EYP to produce a Feasibility Study delivering a high-level architectural, civil and engineering design for review of a single concept for a conceptional and schematic design.

Environmental studies have been completed and the first phase of building a 3W Clean Energy Research facility which has been donated to the University of Wyoming has been completed. Brendan has also led the negociation with Rocky Mountain Power for a PPA.

The project is currently on hold pending upgrades to the local powergrid to be completed by WAPA. No date has been determined as of this update.
