The Marine Corps Intelligence Activity (MCIA) is a vital component of the U.S. Marine Corps, responsible for providing comprehensive intelligence support to Marine Corps forces and decision-makers. MCIA’s mission is to deliver timely, relevant, and actionable intelligence to enhance the operational effectiveness of the Marine Corps. This includes intelligence analysis, production, and dissemination, covering a wide range of topics such as threat assessments, geopolitical analysis, and battlefield reconnaissance. By leveraging advanced technology and strategic partnerships, MCIA ensures that Marine Corps units are well-informed and prepared to respond to emerging threats and challenges in any operational environment.
Brendan led the development and delivery of Storage Area Networks (SANZ) EarthWare solution to the Marine Corps Intelligence Activity (MCIA), a pivotal project that significantly enhanced the agency’s data management capabilities. EarthWare is a sophisticated data management utility designed to facilitate the efficient storage, retrieval, and dissemination of intelligence imagery and geospatial data. This solution allows warfighters and decision-makers to access critical intelligence in a timely manner, improving situational awareness and operational planning.
As co-founder and CTO of SANZ, Brendan’s role encompassed overseeing the entire lifecycle of the project, from initial design and development to deployment and integration. He coordinated with various stakeholders to ensure that EarthWare met the stringent requirements of MCIA, providing a robust and secure platform for managing vast amounts of intelligence data. Brendan held a Top Secret security clearance during the delivery of these project.
